About this Item
We are seeking an Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk to work in our Ottawa office. Working with a dynamic team, you will be responsible for the accounts payable and payroll functions within the company.
Main Responsibilities:
 Responsible for treasury management including management of multiple international bank accounts;
 Manage and process company payroll in North America and International, across multiple subsidiaries, and handle associated payroll reporting requirements in multiple tax jurisdictions;
 Act as primary payroll point of contact with local country payroll and tax experts;
 Process corporate time-tracking and reporting;
 Support Accounts Receivable – invoice generation, quotes, receipts, calculation of commissions;
 Perform detailed monthly reconciliations of balance sheet schedules for multiple subsidiaries in multiple currencies – including payroll accounts, inter-company accounts and banks accounts;
 Financial analysis – support Director of Finance / Controller with month end financial analysis of costs and revenues;
 Review and reconcile various account balances as required;
 Participate in interim, year end and periodic audits of consolidated or subsidiary companies;
 Support tax and audit filings in international jurisdictions;
 Assist CFO and Director of Finance/Controller with various financial matters as required;
 Other accounting duties, as required
Education and Experience:
 Minimum two (2) year experience with payroll (US and Canadian) and corporate treasury
 Minimum five (5) year experience general accounting including accounts payable and receivable
 Experience with Ceridian or ADP payroll systems
 Outstanding attention to detail
 Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
 Diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business
