The exam for IES i.e. Indian Engineering Services is considered as the toughest exams globally. Lakhs and lakhs of students compete for a few prestigious positions of this highly prestigious position in India.
The educational qualification for this exam is:
● A Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent (B.E/B.Tech)
● An M.Sc degree or equivalent with courses that fall under the criteria for this exam.
Age criteria:
Candidates between 21-30 years can apply for the IES exam coaching classes in pune. People above this age bar can also apply but only the ones from a particular section.
Exam Criteria:
The entire exam is for 1200 marks. It is divided into a written test and personal interview. The written examination is for 1000 marks and is both objective and descriptive. The test is spread across three days i.e. 3 hours each. One can choose from Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
